Every Little Action

@  Fabrica del Vapore

Exchange between the Academy Awards and NABA students guided by Cinzia Ruggieri.

The only request was that each one of us, would began to built a entire look from the footprint that we would like to leave on earth, and then develop our way up to the head.

In the end, we all presented and exhibition called 'From Foot to Head' at Fabbrica del Vapore.

I started to think which footprint it would represent me, but my only thought was: 'No matter what I do, someone will see a consequence of it.' And that's why, I decided to work on the Chaos Theory, specifically the butterfly effect;

‘ something as small as the fluttler of a butterfly’s wings can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world ’.

The shoes are a representation of the flutter of butterfly’s wings, however i wanted them to be detached from the idea of the actual image of the wings. that’s why i divided them into three sections; three perspectives of how the wings can be seen. As we go further into a microscope we can see every tiny element. Things change as our knowlegde of them go deeper, so the smallest factor can change everything. And that’s when the chaos could be formed.

The process

Having in mind that the shoes are the first step of the theory, the outfit should be the progression of it.

The chaos theory is applied in several fields of science, and the mathematical chaos’ charts guided me. each system has it’s own chart, depending on the elements involved in it.

Despite their complexity, in the my pieces, I wanted to demonstrate a slow development of what would be the chaos in this scenario.
